About the Organisers

MSG Sports Ltd

MSG Sport Ltd is the product of Active Essex’s Olympic Legacy programme, which in turn was the product of the 2012 Olympic MTB venue at Hadleigh Farm in Essex. The founding objective was to contribute toward the famous total of an additional million people taking part in regular sport. For this reason MSG’s raison d’être is extremely altruistic with decisions based on this founding criteria rather than profit.

Post 2012, funding for the Active Essex project ceased and Matt and G made a competitive bid for the series in which they were successful. Part of that bid was the requirement to form a limited company to enable them to be able to operate as a sub contractor to Essex County Council in the delivery of events as and when required.

Since that time the MSG series has become the largest regional MTB series in the UK, both by number of competitors and number of rounds. A reputation for seeking excellence and delivering value has been established, and as a result MSG are now engaged in taking their expertise outside of the Eastern Region to start work on a fledgling South East region series in Kent Sussex and Surrey. The story continues…..
